Brilliant! I don’t know anything about soccer other than men kick a ball and can’t touch it with their hands(other than to toss it in), but after reading this I just want to get into it badly!

Dear, dear Russell. Where DO you get the energy to accomplish such voluminous amounts of work? I get exhausted just imagining your travels, writings, imaginings and spontaneous comedic outbursts!

Thank you for being such a bright spot in my day. I hope to meet you next time you’re in Austin.

By God!! That was the greatest sports piece I’ve ever seen even though it’s the Champions League & we Aussies don’t give a toss.
Fari dunkum, English soccer has become more multcultural since the gaping hole in the fence on the Southern Texas border.
Like the description of the “zone”. Think the whole world hates the “zone”. We have it in our Aussie Rules. I think they’re applying it in the waters off Somalia.

You are a ridiculously smart fellow. I pride myself on my writing skills, but your work makes me walk away with my tail between my legs.

I salute you, Russell Brand, for you have managed to beget poetic greatness from football facts. You, Sir, are the reason I joined Twitter; I shall continue to quote you in daily conversation and take complete credit for your wit.

Simply brilliant that you can come up with the intellect martrial that makes me laugh endlessly..I do wish more people would take from you and just be normal and brilliant… not everyone enjoys a hillbilly cable man in the same attire each performance and to listen to bad jokes…Also my best friends do love you. well until then Russell Farewell :)

Well, I followed along and enjoyed the irony and sense of humor; and don’t know anything about zonal markings, except shame about that JFK scenario, perhaps that grassy knoll reference might be rethought now. Oh well. Not exactly a upper in the moods of a ending but who gets a second leg in life! I hope you mean that as a second leg after losing the first leg other wise this can get a little complicated. But I don’t speak Angles.

Happy Easter, took my niece and nephew to the movies and watched my nephew have a complete sugar meltdown in front of a live audience. He’s a natural! Hope you had a pleasant holiday on whatever you did for the occasion if anything. It’s never a bad thing to be with the ones you love for any reason. Sorry, carrying on for no reason. Good night.

BTW, nice use of the word animus; impressive, rare. Have no idea why I thought that was important to add, it’s almost midnight here. The witching hour, or is that one o’clock; my mind has turned to mush.
