RUSSELL BRAND ‘FLEES’ FANS AT AUDLEY END

CONTROVERSIAL comic Russell Brand left yesterday’s (August 2) Last Night of the Proms concert at Audley End with a police escort after being mobbed by fans.
The TV and radio superstar and stand-up, who briefly attended Hockerill Anglo-European College in Bishop’s Stortford, had arrived to watch Welsh opera diva Katherine Jenkins’ closing performance but was soon spotted by members of the crowd.
According to Essex Police, they “caused him annoyance” by repeatedly asking for photographs, prompting Brand to ask officers to take him back to his car. He left early in the evening.
However, at the scene, a police officer told an Observer reporter that Mr Brand had been “invited to leave” after becoming “objectionable”.
Shortly before hitting the stage, Jenkins tweeted on micro-blogging site Twitter: “Who is the most unlikely person you would expect to see at my concert? Will tell you at the end of the show! X”. Three hours later, she confirmed the identity of her mystery guest.
Nice. Love your stiff chin while you play, that’s concentration.
