Due to work constraints I was unable to queue for a wristband but as I’m not too far from Oxford Street I thought I’d pop along after I finished work at 6pm. Just to have a little look. Of course I wasn’t able to get an autograph but half-way through the signing session he got up walked past where I was standing announcing he was going to the toilet. On the way back I got to touch his hand!!! Russ I hope you washed your hands cos I sure ain’t washed mine since mate. (only joking!) To everyone who wasn’t there…he was really really nice with everyone.

That was such a lovely signing! So calm, relaxed and well organised, other than the ‘guestlist’ of forum winners of tickets was unknown to the HMV staff :-( . Didn’t matter, there were enough bands anyway.

Russell was prompt in arriving, gave a sweet and funny Q and A session, including cuddling a little boy who he tried to get to endorse the DVD :-). The signing itself was just such a pleasure, he seemed to have a special chat, cuddle and specific written message for everyone.

He really was not just ‘going through the motions’ – his heart was in it and he seemed to be in such a good, happy and peaceful place.
