Famous and has a fiancee, fans are well down the list.. I really thought you were the one Russell. The one person who cared about people and didnt just want to be a celebrity… Shame!!
These will be fab gigs – in my experience the tiny ones are the best.
It would be nice for US fans to have a bit more notice though – doesn’t affect me as I live near London and have been lucky enough to see Russell in small venues lots of times but I know some really dedicated US fans would be prepared to travel if they had more time, even say a week.
In response to Shazza – I saw him twice in November and honestly, he sould not have been more kind, patient and responsive to his fans. He’s always been a bit erratic, that’s part of his appeal, but I’m sure he still cares about people and is not just in love with Hollywood.
We all know he’s also very ambitious and has always wanted to be famous, and now he is, so good luck to him. x
Grannyfan – I too saw him in November (HMV Oxford Street) and was really amazed at how patient and genuine he was with the fans – still very much “the common man”. Hope it stays that way as that is what distinguishes him from so many celebs.

I would wholeheartedly reiterate what Grannyfan and Louise say. I too saw Russell in November and he was the same sweet, friendly person he’s always been.
If you’re lucky enough to live in the area, grab yourself a ticket – it will definitely be worth it. Small gigs with new material to try out are usually the best. Enjoy! x

I met him recently and he was a doll. Wish him and his fiancee the very best and I couldn’t be happier. He has and needs to have a freakin’ life, a real life and not just life in the limelight. Good for Russell for setting priorities.
