Just saw GHttG and liked it very much. However, there are two scenes/vignettes/bits prominently featured in the ads — both theatrical and tv — that are nowhere to be seen in the film. One of them I was very much interested in seeing in its proper context, but no, nowhere to be seen. At all. Cut. Not in the movie. False advertising. Bait and switch.

Russell, c’mon, can’t you do something about this? Put a rider in your next movie contract or something? It just sucks.

LOL! I actually did miss the start as I was waiting for popcorn and some good old vanilla coke. I’m an addict. The movie was good. Not that Russel Brand isn’t a good comedian…he’s a great comedian…he’s just a terrible human being ;)

    saw the film last nite…
laughed like an idiot the whole way through.
what a great film! so many layers, and what a fine performance by you rusty. i look forward to seeing you on the big screen more. i feel it is only the beginning.

you are beautiful, and you are inspiring.

after the film, which we saw at 11.30pm the nite before a public holiday, we dropped into our local pub to see our mates band, where we have spent many a drunk/manic evening, full of madness. we rocked into the pub at 2am, sober as f*ck, looked around at the mess we call ‘fun’ and walked straight out.

if you can do it russ, and still be brilliant and zany and full of life, we can too.

    goodbye madness, hello life.

we all need a furry wall sometimes.

greatest respect to you diamond genius.

I love this movie. Seen it 3x to date. Russell is great as Aldous – great story and music. Love the way this feels kind of like a documentary, with all the back story out on the web and the CD. Love it all.

  7. Rachelesque says:

After seeing the “Posie” bit… that was disgusting… and then you actually put footage of children in it?

Look… we all have our issues and Russell has been brave enough to share but when are you going to forgive the world for letting you down dear… and quit shoving your trauma down our throats…

two wrongs don’t make a right… spiritually.. you are creating more dysfunction, chaos and sickness with this “art”.

It’s really weird, I have not been a die hard fan for anything since East 17… And then you come along. I guess I can see the filthy geezer/homo-erotic parallel between the two, but they are dead to me now…

    Hey Russell…?

    Yeah Jane?

Do you think you will ever come back to Melbourne and share a bottle of sparkling apple juice with me?

    Alright.

    Say you promise?

    I promise…

I feel just like Stan in the Eminem film clip…

    Love Jane. xx

    Hi.

I just get in a good mood when I see you in the media. The pictures are nice but it´s when you speak I just get convinced that all people have a special task in life. Bigger or smaller. It can´t be you, who sits and compose what you will say all the time? It just comes out of you. I like that, I like your tattoo´s message aswell, if it means what TheSun said, “Go with the Flow” – - – - – - It´s just hard when the flow is, bad, boring, lonely and frightning. But I´m sure we all go through them stages in life. But the flow is there, and there is no way to stop it.

Do you know what I always dreamt of?

To sing soul for the masses. I want to sing Etta James and Marvin Gaye in a nice dress with some very talanted muscians behind me. But I happened to have three sons with two englishmen instead and my dream changed into something else. But I still think of singing to thousands.
And it´s only because I know I sing very good. I suppose I am like you and other preformers that have a gift – and I mean gift from somewhere higher or deeper within. It´s becomes easy to say something is good and soulful when it comes from someone or something else. It just flowes then, I wonder what it is. It´s good, but it´s painful when the magic goes, like when the mind of a soulsinger wants to sing housemusic or folk, if you know what i mean. So then the magic stops and there is lessons to be taken. So that is why I think i had to wait singing. Because I was going the wrong way and had to learn my real gift – and the lesson was to feel the soul of me so I could sing it and feel it the same time and now I can.

So even if I only get to sing my soooooul out to the few I will still be happy.

Good luck in your life, I love you!
