Russ – when did you start smoking? Never noticed that before this movie. You look handsome – but smoking? Another addiction to recover from? Hope it is for movie only.
During the filming of GHTTG last year, you always found the time to post little videos showing us what was going on, either on set or sometimes on a day off. Why do you no longer do this? I know you are busy, but it seems to me that there must be downtime on the set of Arthur, just like there was on GHTTG, and that it wouldn’t take much time to shoot a quick video every now and then. You must realize how much this would mean to the fans who have stuck by you and just want to feel some sort of connection with what you’re doing now. We miss the down to earth, intimate spirit that this site (and you) used to have.
You were ever so kind and generous the other day (Monday, July 26) when you found me reading your booky wook outside of Starbucks in NYC and ambushed me with all your sexiness, signed my book, took some pictures, kissed me on the forehead, and strode away with all your rockstar brilliance.
There are so many things I wanted to tell you and seeing as my tongue must have been stuck down my throat at the time, I was unable to convey any of them, and so I would like to tell you now.
1) You are the most hilarious man I have ever had the pleasure of constantly and possibly excessively watching on YouTube, the movie screen, and the like as well as reading about in your painfully brilliant prose. Although I am sure you have been told this by many notable and important comedic people, I am sure it is equally as important for you to hear it once again, from me. Obviously.
2) I truly admire your honesty. It is inspiring; it is refreshing; and it really makes one look at one’s own life in a similarly candid and open-minded fashion. Beautiful really.
3) It is quite inspiring to read about such grand difficulties and tragedies that you have been dragged (drug?) through and to see you be able to come out the other end on a clear path all sober and committed and seemingly relatively happy.
4) I laugh out loud at least every other page. Thank you for gracing us with your humorous outlook on life and your sexiness.
Of course, in the moment I was unable to express more than my utter shock at your sudden appearance before me. In one word, if nothing else, you are certainly charming. I can only imagine what you have done to the hearts of women who you have left with more than a kiss on the forehead.
I hope all of those naysayers questioning your character, well, fuck off. I just wanted to do my part to say that you were the perfect gentleman to me, taking a minute to give an innocent doe-eyed fan girl the story and the memory of a lifetime!
