Have a look at this great clip of Russell reading from Booky Wook 2 in New York back in April just after having written this chapter

This video was taken from the enhanced e-book edition of Booky Wook 2 which has 16 exclusive videos, including readings by Russell, behind-the-scenes clips, and unseen early stand-up.

Is there any chance the additonal videos could be made available on this website eventually? Not everyone can afford an iPad or whatever (or indeed has the desire to aquire one). I think whatever is made available should be available to all.

I have just finished BW2. I love that Russell is someone that everyone can relate to – we all have a Russell in our lives – the show off who makes you laugh in spite of yourself. The confident one in the group who will fiercely protect his nearest and dearest, stand up for the under dog but who is as insecure as us all. What a great act of bravery BW2 is. I like this man more and more.

The truth reveals itself in reflections of our tirades, day-trips & jetset miracle works. When all is lost, what we have to gain is the passion, meaning & soulful blanket from the depth in which we unravel the secrets, beauty, time & madness of the world. Such things exist only in the reflection eternal, hinted to those who feel great truths(love, pain)and desire wisdom in the fog of the light.

Believe it or not…I’ve just newly discovered you…YOU ARE AWESOME! I am so fascinated by you…can’t get enough. I’m Russell Brand hungry!! Love ya!

I just finished reading it. Rarely do people have such insight into the ridiculousness of both our own behavior and the foolish world around us. You are a vain creature Russell, but very self-aware, and without that vanity you wouldn’t be the creative force of comdey that we love. Booky Wook 2 was an ever more amazing display of your command of the English language than the first, beautifully told, and a loving tribute to the extended family who keep you grounded. And the last chapter warmed my heart. I am really happy for you. Well done!

Oh Lord, your face! It’s scary sometimes, you know that? I’m on page 76 of Booky Wook 2. I love your description of the power that we woman possess. I’m using my handy dandy highlighter to honor your thoughts of us woman, along with descriptions of your sexual encounters (ones I use to a selfishly healthy advantage). I’m looking forward to the rest. I feel this build up, and I hope it will lead to Katy! If not, I will soon know better. Whatever the case, I love that your book sends me on a RANDY hunt for my man. He loves when I read Booky Wook 2 for a while. He claims I walk around as if I’m constantly turned on, and I think so as well. I will be here again, sharing my side of our adventure!

What an amazing experience to listen to the endless, intoxicating, banter. The language is sophisticated, heartfelt . . . dare I say like that of Jane Austin . . . it brings me to the same place when I read it. That small, safe, comfortable place in my heart where no one else can go and very few else have been able to touch. It makes me smile every time I see Russell, hear his voice and see something new of his. That spark of brilliance. I’m in love.

It’s now 6:30 on a Sunday morning. What nmoarl person wakes up at that time on the weekend. I’ve been on the roof of my garage in underpants throwing rocks at tree behind my house since 5am. What nmoarl person does that! Yes, a person with a Koel in his tree not 20 metres from the bed. I am sure it knows it is pissing me off, the sounds are getting more strained as the morning goes on, it’s just trying to get louder and more annoying. The gun trick immediately springs to mind, and I am looking to build a good sling shot, but I like the idea of the cd’s, so I’ll be climbing this things today with whatever I can find. Mind you, a have found the only time that I get some piece from it is when it moves to the tree across the road (making it only a bit quieter but tolerable). I’ll probably end up climbing all the trees in the neighbourhood.
