Wow… What happened to your accent?? I’ve seen you over 10 times in the Uk… You were much funnier in those days… Sorry): all the best tho with your new image tho… Hope it’s worth it. Xxx
Russell don’t sell your soul! I’ve been a fan since rebrand and watched your career since. You are one of a kind. A complex, edgy genius. Don’t exchange this genius for American gooey candy! Throw off that security blanket and come back!

Russell wha happened? Yea you were funny enough, but where’s the edgy Russell I’ve come to know and love? Too tamed down, but I bet you get more American fans….Yes I am American and loved you b4. We can be a little uptight sometimes.
I get it…just don’t lose the ‘Old Russell’

Still undeniably your same old intelligent humorous self. Though I can understand what people mean about the change in your style. Previously I could definately see a style that reflected older english comedians (blackadder?) that suited England perfectly. It is understandable that you’d have to change your act to suit the american audience. Though I admit it odd to see parts of your act changed to suit an american audience.
At any rate; Congratulations on breaking America! (and of course on your marraige)
Good luck and I’m sure we’ll see you back in England at some point. (we also have nice people at immigration).
Loved it when u came to Bristol last year so funny when u got the guy to phone the police . Have u got to calm your act down for the yanks love to come see u again in England where I think u can be your self
Very diffrent, like the old you better but if you feel you have to act and talk a diffrent way then so be it russ dont get me wrong it was funny and cleaver Iam just to used to the ponderland humor, all the best in usa come home soon! Fan of many Richie from Liverpool :)
Hey Russell….I lived over in the states for ten years having, like you, married an American (New Orleanean to be more precise) and do empathise utterly with your need to change intonation and language in order to be understood…a right royal pain in the arse it is too…but in some situations i believe it to be your absolute duty to use words, as you certainly would have done in England, such as ‘rhetorical’ when referring to Katy asking “are you wearing that shirt out?”…so that they may have to raise their grammatical game and not lower yours…
I was once asked “So, which language do you speak when you’re back in England”?…and people often ask me why on earth i moved back here…
All the best my friend and as the man said “don’t take any guff from these swine”!
Russell is definitely either maturing or conforming to American social regulations and conventions for comedic protocol. Sad as I miss the old Russell.

What Ben said. Best of luck all the same!
Hey, Americans, who’s this weirdo with the Dick Van Dyke accent, and what have you done with our Russell?

u did great last night mr. brand!
Hilarious Russell!
It’s always good for performers to speak in a way everyone can understand them if they want to reach a larger audience!
