Re; the drug addict comment. I say stick to what you know Russel, very wise indeed ;) and what did the nice lady in the red coat do to you guys since she didnt get a hug?

  3. Roger says:

I hope russell’s happy. I know he’s a good person. I just miss how he used to come across when he was in england. :( I feel actual sadness watching this.

I think Russel Brand is working on therapy trials to cure awkwardness. Getting close!

  5. Lisawhodat says:

I think Russel is the sexiest man alive

Sue, you took the words right out of my mouth!
I hate it when that happens!

Last time I was in Rockefeller Center, I was inmersed an ocean of hysterical Russell fans in the hopes of getting some tickets to take my friend to the MTV VMAs… It was my last investigative reporting assignment. It wasn’t supposed to be voyeuristic, yet inexplicably magnetized I lingered…

i miss the rat nest hair- i definitely still like russel but you look like your becoming homogenized and boring. it also looks like you had your eyes done or botox its weird and creepy.

I think it’s fantastic that James Marsden, unarguably a very sexy gentleman, is reduced to cameraman in Russell’s presence. Excellent. Keep up the good work, Russ. Loving Booky Wook 2, btw.

  9. Gabriel says:

    Pretty funny stuff, Rus.

  10. Jon says:

Get the beard back, get the hair back, get the clothes back, get back to England, get back with Matt.

Glad you’re successful Russ, but you’ve gone from my favourite comedian to one i don’t really care about anymore due to this Americanization. shame…

Russell did your comedy come the chaos and mania in your life? I appreciate that image changes are necessary and you look lovely regardless. Love the fact you re happy and seemingly settled but you don’t have your sparkle anymore. Its not just your beard that’s gone. Very sad I used to be captivated by you and your use of language. X

Sobriety and marriage and launching a career in the movies…I’d say that comes with plenty of chaos and mania. Just wait til the baby Brands start arriving…then you’ll know the true meaning of chaos and mania, Russell. And I think your sparkle is doing JUST fine. :)

Weird…this is from a week ago but it’s suddenly being posted today as if it’s new. (Not just here, but other sites.)

I thought it was a nice little interview and I like how cuddly Russell is with Meredith.

But I can see where people are coming from when they say he’s gotten a bit bland. I mean, even in America he used to be a lot more eccentric on talk shows. His first appearance on the Today Show was in 2009 and he sat there with his teased hair and exposed nipples, simultaneously befuddling and enchanting his interviewers with his unusual appearance and quirky turns of phrase.

I understand he’s evolving, but sometimes worry that what makes Russell so unique and great will be buried underneath all the “docile, shackled husband” schtick. Whatever happened to, “That thing inside of you that makes you want to rebel, to be naughty … that’s what makes you beautiful”? Where’s your anarchic spirit, Russell?

  15. TilMySoulGetsItRight says:

Anarchic comes in plenty of flavors…you don’t have to show your nipples and tease your hair to be a rebel. On our planet, kindness if anarchic. Making eye contact for more than three seconds is anarchic. Hugging someone you hardly know is anarchic.

Sure, the “brand” (sorry for the ridiculous pun!!!) of eccentricity that shot him to the top was charming and naughty and attention getting. But I think when you peel all the layers away, what is really so charming about him is the sincerity and the authenticity that is never absent in any clip of him I’ve ever seen. If that’s bland, I definitely need a little more bland in my life!
