Aw, that’s a good way to look at it, TilMySoulGetsItRight. I like your take on it. I agree, he is still always disarmingly warm and sincere, which is rare. Thanks for reminding me of that.

You’re inspiring to me Russell, and I’ve had your past. You could have gone the other way, but I see you full of love these days (forgive the familiarity) for wife and for the rest of us humans and our condition. You’re a gentleman with a big heart – never change.

Somethings different about you Russell. Im loving BW2 but seeing you here, I dont know what it is, its like youre mind is elsewhere not so in the moment and leading the moment like it used to be. Where’s your crave?

I’ve read some very good reviews of his recent gigs in L.A., where he was addressing serious topics and was apparently as interesting as ever in a live situation.

I think this is an early morning show on a cold day – he looks chilly himself – he has presumably been working long hours on the Arthur reshoots, so perhaps wasn’t as fizzy as he often can be.

These promo appearances are so brief – we were so lucky when he used to be on the radio and it was a couple of hours of just listening to him talk about anything and everything. No offence to other views, I miss “the old days” too, but I think he’s trying to move on with his life and is perhaps trying to find a new public persona now that he’s married.

So many people would love to see him in a live situation though – I hope he will consider doing some proper full scale touring this year. Live comedy really is his forte.

BRING BACK THE HAIR!!!!! Americans just dont get humour, theyre so happy and oblivious its scary. It reminds meof the bill hicks sketch ‘go back to bed america’

Everyone changes, people. Come on! Russell is a very perspicacious fellow, you should all know. I’m sure any changes he is well aware of. He has gone from an underground star for the esoteric to internationally acclaimed film star.
In the mean time, he’s kicked a drug addiction and found love (to name just a few of his achievements). And you lot won’t afford him a chance to reassess and do what needs to be done to stay on top of the game?
Keep it up, Russ. Was good to hear you back on the podcasts though, I must admit. More, please!

Russell come and do some stand up in England pleeeeeaaaasssee! Went to see scandalous and it was the funniest stand up I have ever been to see (fucking hilarious). I still can’t belive what a song and dance got made about the “sachs gate scandal”. It was ridiculous, and blown way out of proportion by the media and people who have no life. Come on do a couple of shows over in the u.k and you no you don’t have to mince your words over here.x

I think Matt Lauer felt threatened. Ha! Dang that looked really cold out!

Come back to good old England Russell, we miss you!!! Those ridicularrseee yanks don’t understand your humour :(

GET YOUR SKINNY JEANS AND BACKCOMBED HAIR BACK!

Married life does that to a man makes him docile and neat looking.
Next kids will come, then slowly love handles and belly will come , then hair will thin..then trouble holding up pee then..old peoples home.
Comedy goes from anarchy to sexual pun, and slowly but surely transforms into family fun, and then progresses into racist puns when he’s at the hair thin stage.Life is simply about slowly dying.

Russell is wearing his ‘actor’ hat and promoting a movie. He has matured enough to know what he is doing and why. I like the many facets of RB.

If I had known you were going to be in NYC, I would have puddle jumped (hopped a plane) to see you! PS I think you did great on Sat. Night Live.

Unfortunately the more mainstream a perfomer becomes the more he has to curb the extreme facets of his personality. It’s the Hollywood machine at work. I don’t think it makes Russell any less entertaining but it does curtail some of the lunatic behavior we have all come to know and love. In truth, though, he still stole the show and usually always does. The cheeky charm is still there and that’s what matters. Mild or wild, it’s always irresistible Russell at heart.
