My younger sister and I attended the CHAMUSH gig on Thursday and here it is Monday and our feet are still not touching the ground. Russell you are so great to your fans! Even now thinking back to that night when you squeezed my hand and said “Hello darling” is marked in my memory as the best ever. I have been following you for over 5 years now and have been spreading the word about your recovery and spiritualism. You are sooo fricking brilliant, funny, quick and honest and I am one who cannot get enough of you. My sister managed to get closer to you and the Bixxx would not come home to sleep with me. What the ???
So pleased to hear fans in the USA are finally getting a taste of the real Russell, also good to hear hes missing home and coming back for a while later in the year, there will be a fight for tickets!!I’m even prepared to leave the cat at home alone for the night :)
I just want to thank-you for your truths, honesty and candor in regards to your past, specifically addictions. I am an alcoholic who has had numerous failed attempts at sobriety. Lack of self-esteem, guilt, depression, and the many numerous lies/deceptions required of someone addicted, kept me in a continuous state of stupor. Drinking helped me cope with my failures and flaws, and has done quite a bit of damage to my career and more importantly my family relationships.
I attended A.A. regularly, was in-patient in rehab x3, with no success. I just kept going back to that damn bottle!
You were correct in your letter regarding Amy W. NO ONE can make an addict/alcoholic stop! NO ONE! All the rubbish I’m hearing that her family/boy friend could have done more, is CRAP! They have to want sobriety themselves first, then there is room for help from others.
Your open-ness and straight talking in both publically and in your books (BOTH OF WHICH i READ IN 2 DAYS!) re; addictions inspired me to try again for sobriety, and I NOW HAVE A FEW WEEKS UNDER MY BELT AGAIN! This time I feel differently about being able to stay sober,I feel ready and stronger. So thanks Russell, yourstruggles are my inspiration. May God Bless Youand yours, N
Nice Nurse – Keep reading the books over and over whenever you feel like you are slipping again, Russell has made it clear our serious his problems were but he overcame them with help and support, seeing as he is now compared to his early career is amazing,he really deserves his success.
Sadly I lost my Mum to alcohol a year ago and family always live with misplaced guilt that they could have done more. Mum went to rehab, she even had a stroke and gave up booze for a while but it got her in the end, she’ll never know how missed she is so Good Luck with your recovery x
Haha did you get ordained for the ‘bad father’ film your daein with matt? X

Lololol “let’s all get one!”

You’re funnier than my grandmother’s ass in see-through spandex!
Please come to SF and marry me and my love, who I met in India. We met you this Summer in NYC while Amma was in town!
I reckon you’ll should stay with Katy as she would be a sexy mumma to your kids.. Just saying.
I love you.
