   Thanks for an awesome show, Russell. Last week I finished reading BW#1 & 2. I felt like I grew a lot as I progressed along the journey from start to finish. I was in a very destructive relationship for a long time & I had a hard time ending it. The only thing I could compare it to was your addiction to heroin. You know it’s ruining your health, yet you find it hard to quit. In the end, you know you have to give it up before it eventually kills you.

   I splurged and bought myself a ticket (in the cheap seats, but not cheap for me) for your Nov 29 show in SF. Excited! I know it’s a fundraiser and you’re doing some kind of fancy meet and greet for the big donors, but is there any chance you’ll also come out at that show and meet the plebes? It would be a thrill to meet you.

   And thanks for writing and tweeting about the Occupy movements. Love from Oakland.

   Russel,
   My name is Leah and I have almost 5 years sober. I go to Clemson University and in the last month alone we have had two students die due to alcohol related incidents (one directly related to alcohol poisoning). I am trying to start an organization to support sobriety and try to help other students but it has been so hard. Everyone in the area has a set idea of what recovery looks like and it is all wrong. Their ideas are comletely altered by the media. Is there anyway you can help me get the message to students here? I am tired of receiving obituary notices and hearing about students going to the hospital because of drugs and alcohol.

    Ray, I have recently become an avid fan of You and Celtic Woman. As a intermediate fellow percussionist, I am curious about your percussion setup and how you mounted the bass drum horizontally. I like the setup and would like to duplicate it. Would it be possible to get details on your percussion setup, drum sizes, make, are you using the Pearl Icon Curved drum rack? I love the sound of the Blasticks.
