That is SSSOOO hilarious!!!! I was laughing so hard watching that episode of BrandX that my sister threatened to take me to the hospital!!! It was so funny!
I liked the 2nd Brand X show better. You seemed more confident, like you owned the stage. That works. I liked the way you started talking about an idea of importance first, then added the humor of the situation second.
I think to comment and riff of the news and issue of the week would be timely, and perhaps commenting on some ongoing issue like the financial crisis would also fit in.
I liked the way you chose a theme in Ponderland and then used humor to explore that theme in detail.. Could you do that here, although with more complex issues like: the class war developing in the U.S. as played out in the current election—rich v poor, multinationals v middle class? The need for another American revolution because the multinationals have taken control of Congress and the media—-that would be funny—come up with humorous solutions to how to get power back into the hands of the people without a war—like if we threatened to send our mothers to Congress if they dont start working together nicely. Or have one day were no shopping at all is permitted, targeting one company at a time to prank them and have them experience their sales plummeting that day and really freak them out—hey it worked with Netflix—and within 2 weeks their CEO was begging customers for a solution.
It would be interesting to use media to exercise the kind of “prank capitalism” I am talking about above. I know its trivial, but how to elevate the trivial into the mundane is important, n’est pas?
