Russell’s second volume of autobiography is now available for pre-order from Amazon
Here’s a bit of blurb:
“In the sequel to Russell’s best-selling biography ‘My Booky Wook’ we follow the now sober but still scandalous, sex-fuelled star on his electrifying rise to international fame. A roller coaster ride through tours, films, stand up and tabloids – this time, it’s personal.”
The book is unleashed upon the UK and Australia on 30th September, US on 12th October 2010.

Infant Sorrow at No.1
Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010
Infant Sorrow’s debut album, “Get Him to the Greek,” has landed at No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.
Russell, as rocker Aldous Snow, sings all the tracks on the record. The songs were written and recorded by a number of high-profile British rockers, including Carl Barat of the Libertines and Jarvis Cocker.
In an interview with Billboard Russell said, “We took the music for this film very seriously. We got brilliant writers and tried to make it as authentic as possible. We wanted songs that were quality and quirky-like a rock version of Flight of the Conchords.”
And we have a bunch of Infant Sorrow CDs to giveaway through rb.tv and an exclusive vid as well – check back for details (probably get this up for you tomorrow to mark the UK release of The Greek)
The soundtrack is available now on iTunes, and your local independent record stores

Buy Love Here
Thursday, May 27th, 2010Buy Love Here
Thursday, May 20th, 2010‘Buy Love Here’ is a pop up exchange shop, where for one day money will have no currency.
The shop is the brain child of British comic Russell Brand and will take place on Thursday 27th May 2010 at the Beverley Centre, Los Angeles.
The idea is to raise debate about the scale of consumer culture and to promote the re-use of products in a surplus society. A social experiment, it aims to examine shopping habits whilst providing an opportunity for Russell to speak directly with the public and gauge opinion.
The day will be filmed as part of an ongoing documentary Russell is currently filming about the pursuit of happiness.
Many of us are guilty of buying things we don’t necessarily need or updating products before the previous model is truly defunct. With this in mind the shop offers customers an opportunity to put those unwanted items to good use by offering them in exchange for something they actually need.
The shop will initially be stocked by donations from Russell, his friends (some celebrity) and companies prepared to contribute end of the line/ out of season items. We are also welcoming donations from the public.
On the day Russell will act as vendor greeting customers and managing exchanges. Ideally we’d like the day to serve a genuine purpose and therefore hope that customers will bring items of some value, not in terms of their financial worth but with regard to their function. However, don’t let this put you off bring your unwanted items and get prepared to swap.
You can offer donations by emailing info@buylovehere.com – we will arrange drop off and collection.
